[A D M I N] Well, it was a spontaneous idea - the NATHAN FILLION MESSAGEBOARD!
If it hadn't been (but instead long planned) I wouldn't have come up with this NewsLog - as the board basically renders this Log pointless. Therefore I'll be moving my entries from the NewsLog to the Messageboard in the coming days and then will close the Log eventually.
Hopefully, you'll visit the board which I believe to be the first on the 'net fully dedicated to the talented Mr Fillion - and if you like it, jump right in! :-)

[N3F] Mailinglist for Nathan fans?
I wonder if there is a need for a mailing list for Nathan fans (aka "Fillionaires") :-))) I've seen several on Yahoogroups but they are either not at all populated, or populated but so totally DEAD... So, would you be interested in such a mailinglist? I'd also wondered about setting up a good messageboard as an alternative but that's a lot harder to do, so I'd like to run with the mailinglist idea in the first place. But first, I'd like to hear your opinion on this. Give me your input! What would you like to see?

[NATHAN Fact] How tall is Nathan Fillion?
HAKEN of Fireflyfans.net said that According to a reliable source, Nathan Fillion is 6'1" (Source). Considering that Haken's website is the oldest fansite around and is rumoured to have some connections to cast & crew of the show, this will be as good an answer to this question as it gets - until Nathan, you come to me and tell me yourself :-)

[FIREFLY] Tim Minear said yesterday that Firefly is NOT DEAD YET! Excerpt: Also wanted to let everyone here know that Firefly is not dead. Not yet. Joss and us'ns are working on a new angle, the details of which I cannot get into just yet. Also, I'm finishing editing my last episode. I think it's gonna be good. And "Trash" is lots of fun and we're finishing "Heart Of Gold." So some day, at the very least, ya'll get for certain three more hours of us.

[N3F] I just found out that - for a reason yet unknown to me - the FOX Message Board links on N3F currently link back to N3F... instead of the FOX Board. The tags are alright, so I first have to figure out why that happens... [N3F - UPDATE] I really have to apologize to all of you for falling off the face of the earth for so long. But real life, holidays and vacationing in the U.S. all took a toll and led to me not updating N3F for a (too) long time - thus also this NewsLog. But Nathan-specific news are rare these days as the news articles etc all revolve around the current struggle of FIREFLY to find a new home. But nevertheless - I promise not to let you hang in there again for such a prolonged time...

Given the fact that the actors are only under contract at FOX until the end of January, we'll have to wait and see how and when Nathan's fanmail address (in Particulars) will be changed. If you hear of a new (Firefly-unrelated) addy, please let me know!

[LINK]: I'm also involved in a new Firefly website that a friend of mine came up with: FIREFLYERS.NET.
It's a site that wants your input! The main goal is to make it a place where the Browncoat community can gather relevant show information, discuss, post fanfiction... etc.

When over on the FOX Firefly Message Board someone asked if there was a fan to go to the TODAY SHOW and hold a sign into their cameras, I volunteered to do that as I went to New York last week (for my birthday which was on Jan 10). I was successfull and had my 5 secs of fame (1 | 2) *hehehe* :)
For some reason people over on the board went crazy over it, taped the show and Flyhead even made a screenshot! (the frame around pic #1 is from the Serenity Bar - thanks!).

I chose to erect this NewsLog as the recent weeks have shown me that due to the hassle of real life I don't come around updating N3F as often as I'd like. With this NewsLog I hope to be a little more up-to-date, posting information that I will make sure to always include into the next updates.
